  • November Recap
    November lead us into one of our most productive months for RTC Solar. We began our fundraising campaign, finished welding the roll-bar for the frame, gained more team skills, and learned about elevator speeches. In the shop, some great progress was made as our resident welders finished welding the roll-bar and moved on to refining other structural components of the frame. other members rotated through different tasks, ensuring everyone had the chance to build hands-on experience with the tools and techniques needed for future stages of the project.
  • September Dallas Solar Car Workshop
    On September thirteenth, three of our members and two of our advisers took a trip to the Dallas solar car workshop and talked to multiple people including Dr. Lee Marks, Eric Andrechek, and William Shih to name a few.   • October Recap
    October was a great month for the RTC solar car team. The team was able to complete a mockup of the frame, begin the process of welding the actual frame, and acquired the steel necessary for fabrication. Through this hard work the team also got closer together. Through learning via projects and “doing” the team gains skills not only in engineering and fabrication, but also in teamwork and communication.

  • Texas A&M FSAE Teams come to RTC
    Yesterday, our students had the incredible opportunity to learn from the Texas A&M University racing teams! Members from the FSAE Internal Combustion, FSAE Electric Vehicle, and Solar Car teams shared engaging presentations about their engineering design processes, challenges, and innovations.
