On September thirteenth, three of our members and two of our advisers took a trip to the Dallas solar car workshop and talked to multiple people including Dr. Lee Marks, Eric Andrechek, and William Shih to name a few. During the workshop their speakers talked about previous solar cars, solar car wiring, and general rules of the Solar Car Challenge. During the halfway point of the workday the hosts brought out two solar cars from previous years and talked about how they functioned and what made them unique. Afterward the speakers spoke on batteries, solar panels and safety practices. After the speakers closed the event, our teams headed home for the day.
